CURRENT TAX PAYMENT INFORMATION FOR THE JULY / DECEMBER 2007 TAX YEAR

The December 2007 Taxes and Administration Fee are now due and payable WITHOUT penalty from December 1, 2007 through February 14, 2008.

RETURN ONLY YOUR STUB WITH YOUR CHECK.  YOUR CANCELLED CHECK WILL SERVE AS YOUR RECEIPT.  

LATE PAYMENT, PENALTY AND INTEREST INFORMATION:

Beginning February 15, 2008, an additional 3% late payment penalty will be added.   

Beginning March 1, 2008, TAXES ON REAL PROPERTY ONLY for the July and December tax billings can be paid only to the Wayne County Treasurer.  The location of the Wayne County Treasurer is the 5th floor of the International Center Building, 400 Monroe Street, Detroit, Michigan 48226, together with penalty and interest charges as outlined above as well as those established by Wayne County.  

Beginning March 1, 2008, TAXES ON PERSONAL PROPERTY ONLY can be paid only at the City of Riverview Treasurer's Office, located at 14100 Civic Park Drive Riverview, Michigan 48193, with the 3% late payment penalty plus 1% interest per month computed from March 1, 2008 through the end of the month of payment.

Checks are accepted only as conditional payment.  If the check is not honored by the bank, the tax is considered unpaid and subject to applicable penalties and interest.  A $30.00 NSF Check fee will also be added to the amount due.

FAILURE TO RECEIVE A TAX BILL DOES NOT WAIVE PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS OR PENALTIES.
