Riverview Highlands Golf Course Renovations and Riverview Land Preserve expansion
The City of Riverview administration has started a two-year process to renovate the Riverview Highlands Golf Course and increase the life of the Riverview Land Preserve (RLP). Both entities contribute revenue to the City and offer other economic advantages. The Highlands offers recreation, attracts visitors and improves property values. The RLP generates revenue for the City (about $2 million in 2015-16), keeping the tax base low. However, the Highlands is outdated and the RLP is nearing the end of its capacity. The City plans to expand the landfill and update and improve the golf course, improving conditions for several Riverview neighborhoods.
