NOTICE In accordance with Section 6.2 of the Riverview City Charter, and at the request of Mayor Swift, a Special Meeting is called for Monday, March 30, 2020.  Pre-Council Study Session will begin at 7:00 PM and the Special Meeting will begin at 7:30 PM  via  Virtual Meeting  for the Purpose of Discussing: 1.  Regular City Council Business

All Riverview municipal buildings are closed to the general public as of 5:00pm, Monday, March 16, 2020 until further notice. More information is available under Latest News elsewhere on this webpage.
Property and building inspections are postponed.
  The City will reschedule inspections when operations restart. We hope our regard for the inspectors and your safety is welcomed.

Birth/Death Records


DEATH CERTIFICATES CAN BE ORDERED BY THE FUNERAL HOMES BY PHONE IF THEY ARE STILL BEING PROVIDED BY THE STATE'S EDRS SYSTEM.  PLEASE CALL FOR MORE DETAILS.

Birth and Death Certificate Fee: $18.00 for 1st Copy, $7.00 each additional copy

The City Clerk is the registrar and keeper of all Birth and Death records that occurred in the Village/City of Riverview.  Lives births in Riverview occur only within the city limits, as we do not have a hospital. (If you were born at Riverside Hospital, it was located in Trenton, Michigan).  Please contact the Trenton City Clerk for these birth record requests.

Deaths that occur at one of the nursing and rehabilitation centers or within the city limits are filed in the Riverview City Clerk Department.

Current Certified copies of birth and death certificates are $18 for the first copy and $7 for each additional copy. Uncertified copies are $1. The city does not accept debit or credit cards at this time.
