The City Clerk's Office is responsible for a number of different functions both to Residents as well as City Council, City Departments, City Boards and Commissions. Serving as the Official Keeper of Records, the Clerk maintains all files and permanent records of the City such as City Codes, Ordinances, Resolutions, City Council/Boards and Commissions meeting minutes.

The City Clerk is responsible for attending City Council meetings; maintains an accurate record of the proceedings of the meetings; publishes legal notices as required; provides voter registration to residents; serves as custodian of all contracts, deeds, ordinances, resolutions, and city records. The Clerk shall administer oaths as required under the City Charter or laws of the State of Michigan and shall be custodian of the City Seal.

The City Clerk's Office is also responsible for maintenance of the Qualified Voter File which is the official voter registration through the State of Michigan. Currently the City of Riverview has over 9,000 registered voters. For more information regarding voter registration please look under the voter registration link.

CITY OF RIVERVIEW PUBLIC NOTICE
2024 CITY COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE
AS ADOPTED BY CITY COUNCIL ON JANUARY 8, 2024

All regular meetings of the City Council will be held on the first and third Mondays commencing at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Riverview Municipal Building, 14100 Civic Park Drive, Riverview, Michigan 48193. Such regular meetings shall be open to the public and persons present shall be afforded an opportunity to address the City Council in accordance with regulations and subject to time limitations as prescribed;
            

                        January 8  and 22                                             February 5 and 20 (Tuesday)
                        March 4 and 18                                                 April 1 and 15
                        May 6 and 20                                                    June 3 and 17
                        July 1 and 15                                                     August 5 and 19
                        September 3 (Tuesday) and 16                       October 7 and 21
                        November 4 and 18                                         December 2 and 16

In addition to the foregoing, the City Council shall meet in Study Session for the purpose of reviewing written reports and oversee technical or procedural matters affecting the conduct of City affairs.  Such meetings are held on the second Monday (and fourth Mondays, if requested by Mayor or City Manager), in the Council Conference Room in the Municipal Building commencing at 7:00 p.m. and open to the public; and  

Persons present will be invited to speak after the departmental reports have been reviewed, unless such person advises the Presiding Official at the commencement of the meeting of their desire to speak on a matter then being reported to the Council.  Other matters not germane to the committee work of the Council may not be addressed except by suspension of the rule by majority vote of the Committee.

NON-RESIDENT BOAT RAMP PERMIT SALE

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 3, 2024 - DOORS WILL OPEN TO BLDG AND PROCESSING WILL BEGIN AT 8:00 AM

The main door will open for the sale of boat ramp permits to Non-Residents at 8:00 AM and we will start processing at that time.  Requirements include a copy of your driver's license along with the vehicle registration that pulls the boat. The cost is $200 and can be paid by cash, check, or card (a 3% fee is charged on all credit transactions). Non-Resident Boat Ramp permits are limited to 50, are first come first serve and are one (1) per person.  Ordinance # 630
