NEW ZIP CODE STARTING JULY 1, 2005

The City of Riverview is pleased to announce that commencing July 1, 2005, the new postal zip code for all Riverview postal customers will be changed to 48193.  The reason for the change is to give Riverview its own individual identity as a city and community.  When using the current zip code of 48192, Riverview is identified as Wyandotte and this can cause problems when using credit cards, banking records, identification records, etc.  When presenting the new zip code number, records will reflect a Riverview address.  A small portion of Brownstown will also share the new number, but the primary city for 49193 will be Riverview, Michigan.

It is very important that all Riverview postal customers use this new zip code starting July 1, 2005.   Residents should also make note of this change to all of their credit card companies, banks, service institutions, magazines, friends, relatives, etc.

Usage of the old zip code after July 1, 2005 may delay mail delivery.
