The Department of Public Works oversees the Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance program.  This program maintains and repairs over 100 vehicles and pieces of heavy equipment citywide.  This department also maintains all generators and pumps located thoughout City buildings and lift stations.  All municipal vehicle and supply inventories are maintained by this department. 

On staff is one State of Michigan Certified mechanic.  The mechanic is also trained in small engine repair, hydraulics, heating and air conditioning, electrical systems, and gas and diesel repairs.
